The source of the USA Select Soloist's wicked tonality is the carefully selected Seymour Duncan pickups in H-S-S configuration. While the Soloist is crafted for fast flowing distorted leads, these pickups offer an extensive tonal repertoire that can evoke crisp, shimmering clean chords on the single coil neck pickup, or lyrically smooth rhythm flow.

In prime position is the hot-wound humbucker that delivers crunchy overdrives with searing heat. This is where the SL1 shines, emitting a rich, spiky distortion that's free from noisy interference, and will enhance your riffs in signature Jackson style.

Free flowing fretboard

The SL1 doesn't put any restrictions on your speed. With a velvety smooth ebony fretboard and gloss finished neck, you'll glide around the guitar with ease. Thanks to the set-through neck design, there's ample space for your hand at the top end of the board to access the high frets with soaring solos. To give you the easiest time flinging pitch bends and shaking vibratos, the USA Select Soloist has jumbo sized frets giving your strings a more defined action point.
