The Jackson Pro Plus Series Soloist SLA2 is a premium performance guitar built for players who demand speed, precision and tonal flexibility at a professional level. Designed around the classic Soloist platform, it pairs advanced construction with high-end components to support modern technical playing styles. Finished in Gloss Black, it delivers a striking visual presence matched by serious performance credentials.
An arched nyatoh body provides a balanced tonal foundation, while a three-piece maple and walnut neck runs through the body for exceptional sustain and strength. The oiled finish on the back of the neck keeps movement smooth and comfortable during long sessions. A compound radius ebony fingerboard with stainless-steel frets is built for fast, articulate playing, and a powerful Seymour Duncan pickup set paired with a Floyd Rose tremolo system makes the SLA2 equally at home on stage or in the studio.

The Pro Plus SLA2 features a three-piece maple and walnut neck that runs through the entire length of the body, delivering exceptional sustain, resonance and structural stability. Graphite reinforcement rods are integrated to guard against movement caused by temperature and humidity changes, ensuring consistent performance over time. The arched nyatoh body balances warmth and clarity, while the neck-through design allows vibrations to travel freely from headstock to bridge. Sculpted Soloist contours and deep cutaways provide unhindered access to all 24 frets, supporting demanding lead work across the full register.
A bound ebony fingerboard with a 12 to 16 inch compound radius is designed specifically for high-speed, technical playing. The rounder profile near the nut supports comfortable chording and rhythm work, while the flatter upper register enables low-action setups and wide bends without fretting out. Twenty-four jumbo stainless-steel frets offer exceptional durability and a slick playing feel, maintaining consistent performance over years of heavy use. Pearloid piranha tooth inlays and Luminlay side dots ensure clear visual reference, even under low-light stage conditions.
A direct-mounted Seymour Duncan JB bridge pickup and ’59 neck pickup deliver a versatile tonal range suited to modern rock and metal styles. The JB provides aggressive output, tight lows and cutting mids for powerful rhythm tones, while the ’59 offers clarity and warmth for expressive leads and cleans. Five-way blade switching expands the palette further with coil-combination options, allowing access to articulate single-coil-style tones alongside full humbucking power, all controlled via a straightforward volume and tone layout.
A recessed Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo provides exceptional tuning stability during aggressive dive bombs, flutters and vibrato techniques. The locking nut and fine tuners work together to maintain precise tuning under heavy use, making the SLA2 reliable for demanding live performance. Sealed die-cast tuners and factory-fitted locking strap buttons add further security, while the included gigbag ensures practical protection for transport between rehearsals, sessions and shows.
