The Pro Plus Series Signature Brandon Ellis Kelly KE27 was developed in collaboration with The Black Dahlia Murder guitarist to meet the demands of modern technical metal. Ellis’s playing style combines high-speed precision with complex melodic phrasing, and this instrument reflects those requirements throughout its design. The aggressive Kelly body shape provides striking stage presence while maintaining excellent balance when played standing. Combined with the reverse Jackson headstock and bold Gold Crackle finish, the guitar delivers a visual identity that matches the intensity of Ellis’s performance style.
Extended 27-fret design for modern lead playing
A standout feature of the KE27 is its extended 27-fret fingerboard, providing additional upper register range for advanced lead techniques and modern metal solos. The maple fingerboard uses a 12"-16" compound radius, allowing comfortable rhythm playing near the nut while flattening out higher up the neck for fast lead runs and technical passages. A push/pull volume control switches the pickup between series and parallel wiring, offering both full humbucker power and brighter, slightly lower-output tones while retaining hum-cancelling performance.
