The Mode series is Ibanez’s contemporary take on a classic bass concept, designed to feel instantly comfortable while offering meaningful modern refinements. The MDM1305 keeps the familiar balance, proportions and ergonomics players expect, but updates them with improved playability, hardware and tonal control. This makes it equally suited to traditional groove-focused roles and more technical modern playing, giving bassists a versatile platform that adapts naturally to different musical situations, genres and performance demands.
Roasted maple construction for stability and response
The roasted maple neck and fretboard are heat-treated to improve long-term stability, durability and resistance to environmental changes. This process reduces moisture content in the wood, helping the neck remain straight and reliable across varying temperatures and humidity levels. Tonally, roasted maple delivers a clear, well-balanced attack with rich sustain, while the smoothly finished fretboard edges enhance comfort during long sessions, fast position shifts and extended rehearsals.
Powerful electronics with flexible mid control
Delta S5J pickups deliver a punchy, articulate sound with a tight low end, focused mids and clear high-frequency detail, making them suitable for a wide range of amps, effects and recording setups. The Sonitech S preamp adds further control with a responsive three-band EQ, dual mid-range banks and a passive tone option.
