This 5 string Ibanez is constructed with a lightweight mahogany body, delivering gentle contours and a sleek design to ensure the utmost comfort for you as the performer. Mahogany gives the bass an outstanding natural tone with a defined low-end, a tight midrange, and a sweet high-end. The double-cutaway also allows for easy playability, giving you absolute freedom to access the upper ranges of the fretboard.

Dynamix H pickups

The Ibanez GIO is equipped with a set of Dynamix H pickups at the neck and bridge, both of which output your sound with clarity and power for a bass sound that shakes the air around you. Designed to accommodate for the extended frequencies demanded with a five-string, the guitar issues you with individual controls for each pickup allowing you to manually adjust the presence of each one has within your playing. If you need that extra bit of energy, then don’t worry this bass still has you covered with a PHAT II EQ can be activated to add that quintessential low-end power.
