Ergonomic headless design

The EHB600’s headless build and chambered, contoured body keep the weight nice and low while improving overall balance, so it feels effortless on the shoulder even through the longest rehearsals or late-night gigs. Rounded edges sit snugly against the player, giving a natural feel that encourages hours of comfortable playing. The deep cutaway and thoughtful body carve also make it easy to reach every one of the 24 frets, opening the door to fluid runs all across the neck

Versatile modern electronics

The pair of α1 pickups give the bass a bold, modern voice with clarity in the mids and plenty of depth in the lows, making it ideal for cutting through dense band mixes or bringing definition to studio sessions. Coupled with the Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ, you get smooth, musical boosts and cuts across the tonal spectrum, letting you dial in anything from tight funk slaps to thunderous rock growl. Flip the EQ bypass switch and you’re instantly in passive mode, where the treble pot doubles as a master tone control for warm, vintage-inspired sounds

Rock-solid hardware

The MR5HS bridge is built specifically for the EHB range and delivers excellent sustain thanks to its individually mounted pieces that maximise vibration transfer. Each saddle can be adjusted for intonation and string spacing, with a range of ±1.5 mm so you can customise the feel to suit fingerstyle, slap, or pick playing. The lightweight Ibanez custom headpieces make string changes quick and straightforward with just a hex key, while the Teflon washer system in the tuners keeps tuning action smooth and reliable throughout heavy playing

The Okoume body gives the bass a bright and responsive character that balances punch with warmth, making it adaptable to many different genres and playing styles.
