The Mark Morton Les Paul Modern Quilt is built around a mahogany body featuring Ultra Modern weight relief, reducing overall weight without sacrificing sustain or resonance. This design keeps the instrument comfortable during extended performances while retaining the familiar depth and punch associated with a Les Paul. Topped with an AAA quilt maple cap, the guitar delivers enhanced clarity and articulation, while the single-ply binding on the top and fretboard frames the finish with a refined, modern look.
Fast neck feel and upper-fret access
A mahogany neck with a SlimTaper profile provides a fast, comfortable feel that suits both aggressive rhythm playing and fluid lead work. The modern contoured heel allows easy access to the upper frets, removing the traditional limitations often associated with single-cut designs. An ebony fingerboard with 22 frets and mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays adds a smooth, precise playing surface, while the 24.75-inch scale length maintains the familiar Gibson response.
