The J Mascis Telecaster includes custom J Mascis Telecaster pickups, to help create the same tone that J Mascis played with. The slick maple material of the neck, along with the crafted "C" shaped neck, allows for a comfortable playing feel and ease when sliding between frets.

Best known for his work with the band 'Dinosaur Jr', J Mascis has created huge hooks and fiery leads. Whenever in the studio, Mascis always reached for his 1958 top-loader Telecaster when he was due to record his lead guitar. The leadman from Massachusetts had always been inseparable from his Jazzmasters, causing Fender to want to sculpt a guitar that replicated the guitars he loved so much.
Signature sound
Thanks to custom pickups, you can play with the same sound that J Mascis loves to use on his music. Perform with the same crushing distortion and howling feedback, while maintaining a clean tone. The J Mascis Telecaster also comes with 3-way pickup switching, master tone and master volume, allowing you to play around and find the perfect tone for you.

A great feature of the J Mascis Telecaster is the neck. It has been designed to allow for ease when playing. The slick maple wood, along with its nitrocellulose lacquer finish, allows for a smooth playing feel and the ability to glide between frets. Another great feature is the neck profile.
