The Fender Custom Shop 1960 Strat is built with a Super Heavy Relic finish that perfectly captures the look, feel and vibe of a well-loved vintage instrument. The aged Sonic Blue top layer sits over a 3-Color Sunburst base, all sealed under a super thin nitrocellulose lacquer that allows the lightweight ash body to resonate fully. Every ding, scratch and worn edge is expertly crafted to deliver an authentic, road-worn appearance straight from the golden era of Fender.

Hand-wound 60/63 Dual Mag pickups

At the heart of its tone, the Custom Shop has equipped this Strat with hand-wound 60/63 Dual Mag pickups. These pickups deliver the signature Stratocaster sparkle with sweet highs, rich mids and warm lows. The reverse-wound, reverse-polarity middle pickup offers hum-cancelling performance in positions 2 and 4, giving you classic single-coil tones while keeping unwanted noise to a minimum.

Premium neck for modern playability

The custom neck is crafted from rift-sawn maple, topped with a AAA dark rosewood round-lam fingerboard. A 9.5-inch radius and narrow tall 6105 frets allow effortless bends and smooth playing across the board. The 63 Style “C” neck profile delivers a comfortable, slightly chunky grip that feels instantly familiar and highly playable up and down the neck.

Every detail on this guitar reflects the craftsmanship of the Fender Custom Shop. Vintage-style tuners with Fender logos, a Custom Shop vintage Strat bridge, and aged parchment plastics complete the period-correct aesthetic.
