Key Features
The Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster NOS Gold Hardware MN, Fiesta Red delivers a pristine late-'50s Strat experience with precise Custom Shop craftsmanship. Built from a two-piece alder body and finished in Fiesta Red lacquer, the guitar reflects the look of a factory-fresh vintage instrument. The NOS (New Old Stock) treatment keeps the finish clean and unaged, while gold hardware adds a distinctive visual contrast against the classic colour.
The neck is carved from AA birdseye maple and shaped to a '60 Style Oval C profile. A 9.5" fingerboard radius and narrow tall 6105 fret wire provide a smooth playing surface with comfortable bending. Electronics are handled by Custom Shop Fat ’50s pickups with a reverse-wound middle pickup for hum-cancelling in positions two and four. Combined with modern Strat wiring and a CRL 5-way switch, this Custom Shop build delivers classic Strat tone with clarity, articulation, and dynamic response.

This Stratocaster features a New Old Stock finish, designed to replicate the appearance of a vintage instrument in factory-fresh condition. The Fiesta Red lacquer is left unaged, preserving a clean, glossy look without relic wear or artificial ageing. This allows the natural colour and finish to stand out clearly, showcasing the guitar as it would have appeared when first built. The addition of gold hardware provides a distinctive visual contrast, giving the instrument a unique aesthetic while maintaining its classic Strat identity.
The two-piece body is constructed from alder, a tonewood widely used on Fender instruments during the late 1950s. Alder is known for its balanced tonal response, producing clear lows, focused mids, and articulate highs. This tonal balance complements the Stratocaster’s naturally bright and expressive sound. The guitar follows the traditional late-'50s Strat body design, preserving the familiar contours that make the instrument comfortable to play whether standing or seated.
The neck is carved from AA birdseye maple and shaped to a '60 Style Oval C profile, measuring approximately .790 inches at the first fret and .930 inches at the twelfth. A 9.5-inch radius and narrow tall 6105 fret wire support smooth bending and accurate fretting. The maple fingerboard features micarta black dot inlays, maintaining a classic appearance. This combination of specifications provides a comfortable playing feel while retaining the response associated with vintage Strat necks.
This Custom Shop Stratocaster is equipped with Fat ’50s pickups in the neck, middle, and bridge positions. The middle pickup is reverse wound and reverse polarity, allowing hum-cancelling operation in positions two and four of the five-way selector switch. These pickups deliver the clear and dynamic Stratocaster voice associated with late-'50s instruments, producing bright highs, balanced mids, and defined lows. Combined with modern Strat wiring and traditional controls, the electronics provide a wide range of classic Strat tones suitable for many playing styles.
