The EVH 5150 Iconic 80w Head and Cabinet bundle delivers the unmistakable tone that defined Eddie Van Halen’s legacy. Designed by renowned amp engineer James Brown, the head is powered by four 6L6 power tubes and features a complex multi-stage preamp with two ECC83S tubes. It captures everything from tight, articulate cleans to full-throttle high-gain aggression with clarity and punch.
Versatile two-channel design
With two footswitchable channels and additional voicing options, this amp adapts effortlessly to any playing style. The Green channel handles sparkling cleans and gritty overdrive, while the Red channel unleashes blistering leads with an added burn switch. Dual gain and volume controls make it easy to balance levels between channels without compromising your tone.
Built-in tools for performance
Modern features make this amp head a serious tool for both stage and studio. A footswitchable 10dB boost ensures your solos cut through the mix, while the Channel 2 noise gate keeps your high-gain tones tight and focused.
