Baritone Scale Length
The ESP LTD EC-407B FM has a 27 inch scale length as appose to traditional 24.75 and 25.5 inch scale lengths to provide baritone capabilities. Due to the longer scale length the EC-407B can be tuned to a range of low tunings such as standard (B,E,A,D,G,B,E) or dropped A tuning (A,E,A,D,D,G,B,E) particularly favourable with heavy metal players requiring a low and deep tone.
Active EMG Pickups
Featuring high output active EMG 81-7 and 707 humbucking pickups the ESP LTD EC407B delivers a sharp attack and a beefy rhythm tones when in the 81 bridge position and a warm and dynamic tonality when in the 707 neck position. Eliminating the muddy and muffled low B sound of prior 7 string guitar pickups the 81-7 and 707 produce a deep and defined low B response whilst also providing tight, crisp and detailed overall response allowing them to be versatile enough for a huge range of playing styles. EMG pickups are a first choice for many professional musicians due to there incredible tone, reliable active circuitry, high output and low noise.
