The Ibanez SR5000E bass guitar is designed to offer boutique quality craftmanship and a premium playing experience. Built in Japan with Ibanez's highest level of care and attention to detail as part of the Prestige Range, the SR5000 will provide you with versatile tones and a rock-solid performance.
The SR5000 body features a sandwich of wenge and mahogany. It is finished with natural oil to show off the layered effect and the grain of the wood below. Mahogany provides a strong and resonant tone while the wenge outer layers offer extra brightness, attack and clear overtones. The neck is a stunning 5-piece design constructed from wenge and bubinga, and features titanium reinforcement rods. These woods provide an exceptional balance of lows and highs with superior note attack, while the titanium aids in ensuring maximum stability and sustain. The fretboard is wenge and provides a solid and resonant surface for the left hand.
The SR5000 features an exceptionally comfortable, asymmetric double cutaway body to allow access to the upper frets. The neck is built with a sleek bolt-on joint and provides no barriers to reaching the higher ranges of this guitar. It features a slim grip shape to offer superior left hand playability. The inclusion of a Graph Tech BLACK TUSQ XL nut offers lower friction to keep you in tune, and enables a clearer tone with increased sustain.
The SR5000 features USA Bartolini custom made pickups which are both voiced differently to maximise the tonal position for where they are placed on the guitar. They are wired up with active electronics giving you access to a 3-band EQ with an extra mid frequency switch. The unique voicing of these pickups in combination with the active preamp gives you a particularly wide range of tonal variation and enables you to shape your sound to exactly how you like it.
This bass guitar features many high quality appointments in hardware such as Gotoh machine heads and a Mono-Rail V bridge. These ensure that you will have maximum tuning stability alongside string vibration transfer to the body of the guitar.
The Ibanez SR5000 is cleverly designed and every feature has been carefully thought about to either improve the sound or the functionality of this guitar. This is a bass guitar that is built to offer the maximum playing experience and tone for the player, whilst standing up to the rigours of gigging and touring.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for electric guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe, Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
