The George Lynch Skulls and Snakes is loaded with an ESP Designed SH-100 at the neck, and a Seymour Duncan Signature George Lynch “The Hunter” at the bridge. The ESP SH-100 produces an overall well-rounded tone, with bright highs and a balanced mid-range. The Seymour Duncan George Lynch Signature 'Hunter' Pickup delivers iconic Lynch tones, with the punchy and present sound of heavy metal. These pickups are capable of producing good output for leads just like George Lynch himself!
Alder is favoured by most players for its incredibly balanced tone, offering the perfect dynamic range to suit most musical styles. The alder body is perfect for playing a wide range of musical styles, with its excellent sustain and resonance ensuring each note is heard. Its bright, sizzling highs, rounded lows, and beefy midrange sets up the foundation of the guitar's overall tone, allowing players to achieve the perfect sounds for their own style.
Manufactured with a maple neck, players can benefit from a comfortable and smooth feel when navigating the fingerboard. The maple neck produces bright tones with good clarity, and it is paired with a rosewood fingerboard, which provides the richer warm tones for a versatile playing experience.
With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years, the Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. Unlike non-locking tremolos, this Floyd Rose bridge can make huge changes in pitch yet still retain the initial tuning by addition of the locking nut at the end of the headstock. The Skulls and Snakes guitar is also equipped with Gotoh tuners, which offer excellent string stability and reliable tuning.
George Lynch is known in the music world as the former lead guitarist of American metal band, Dokken and founding member of Lynch Mob. Lynch's first endorsement with ESP began in 1986 and he has been shredding ESP guitars ever since. ESP's signature George Lynch collection represents his 'incendiary' guitar attitude; as evident through the crazy design of the Skull and Snakes.
