The Joe Duplantier’s signature guitar produces monster tone equal to his band’s name, thanks to the dual Duncan designed HB humbucking pickups. The Duncan designed pickups are patterned after the SH-6 Duncan Distortion set, delivering a high output tone with lots of crunch and distortion. The guitar also features 3-way toggle pickup switching and a single knurled control knob that’s in special placement, slightly back from the playing area.
Charvel and Joe have packed his latest signature guitar with a range of high quality hardware, from the Charvel compound radius compensated bridge with anchored tailpiece, and Charvel locking tuners, to the strong plastic nut and knurled flat-top control knobs. With the hardware in a black finish and placed against the sleek white colour, the signature guitar offers a beautifully contrasting colour palate.
Joe Duplantier was born October of 1976, and is most know as the rhythm guitarist and vocalist of the French heavy metal band Gojira, and is also the former bassist of Cavalera Conspiracy. Joe wrote his first song in 1996 with his brother for their band Godzilla, which was renamed Gojira, and later opened up his own recording studio.
