The Boss RT-2 Rotary Ensemble captures the rich, swirling tones of vintage rotary speaker cabinets in a streamlined stompbox. Using advanced BOSS modelling, it recreates the complex interaction of spinning rotors and natural air movement, delivering a full rotary experience that fits easily onto any pedalboard.
Three expressive tone modes
With a three-way mode switch, the RT-2 offers a classic rotary voice alongside two modern variations. You can move from traditional organ-style modulations to wide stereo textures and high-definition, drive-heavy tones—perfect for everything from clean ambient layers to gritty lead work.
Flexible control for dynamic playing
The onboard footswitch offers four operation modes, giving you real-time control over rotor speed and bypass functions. External footswitches or an expression pedal unlock even more options, including brake control and continuous adjustments of level, drive, balance, and speed—ideal for shaping sound on the fly.
Drive and balance with vintage character
The RT-2 includes a dedicated Drive knob for adding warm, tube-style saturation to your signal. A rear-panel switch repurposes this control to balance the treble and bass rotor volumes, letting you fine-tune your tone with precision. All settings are stored automatically, so you can plug in and get playing with ease.
