The Yamaha PSR-E423 offers several innovative features. Similar to an analog synthesizer, the PSR-E423 has two control knobs providing real-time control for filtering the main melody tone, and changing the tempo of the arpeggio. The pitch bend wheel can be used to bring voices such as the Sax and Trumpet to life.

The arpeggio function has been considerably improved for smoother playability. A new hold mode and allocated key-range frees your hands for dual hand playing. The PSR-E423 boasts an expanded150 patterns that automatically generate even more useful phrases that change depending on the notes and chords you play.

Dynamic voices usually found on high-end workstations, are now available on the PSR-E423. There are two different waveforms that change depending on how hard you play the keyboard, allowing more expression on voices such as overdriven or nylon guitar. High quality voices, from acoustic instruments to electric sounds, have been expanded to 700 varieties. All of these high-quality voices sound better through 2-way speakers.

The PSR-E423 has new Arabic, Indian and Chinese content added to its repertoire. The high quality auto-backing mode means you'll sound like you have a professional backing band behind you! You can start immediately and easily playing along with the best chosen accompaniments and voices by selecting music category elevating any player and making practice fun.

If you're after a more traditional sound, playing piano is fast and easy with Yamaha's Portable Grand function. One dedicated button brings up a great sounding piano, stunningly rich and authentic in its sound as well as setting up the keyboard to play as a piano.

Extra Connectivity and Memory

Four times more flash memory has been added to the PSR-E423 so you can play along with your favorite songs transferred from a PC. The impressive built in XGlite Tone Generator handles virtually any MIDI song file--from commercially available music data to songs created on computer or other MIDI instruments. Naturally, it plays back conventional GM song data, but it is also compatible with the enhanced XGlite format, ensuring high sound quality.

The PSR-E423 has 9 step lessons to support your practice completely. The innovative Yamaha Education Suite (Y.E.S.) means you can take appropriate lessons for your individual stage.
