With its sleek, double-cutaway mahogany body and fast-playing SlimTaper mahogany neck, this guitar offers effortless access to all 22 frets and a resonant, punchy sound that cuts through any mix.

Equipped with a pair of Gibson 490R and 490T humbuckers, the SG Standard produces a classic PAF-inspired tone—warm and expressive in the neck, aggressive and articulate in the bridge. The hand-wired controls with Orange Drop capacitors ensure smooth tone shaping and vintage-accurate response.

Featuring a bound rosewood fingerboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays, vintage-style keystone tuners, and a Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge with aluminum stopbar tailpiece, the 2021 SG Standard is both elegant and performance-ready. Finished in Gibson’s iconic Heritage Cherry gloss nitrocellulose, this model captures the spirit of the early '60s originals while offering modern reliability and feel.
