Designed for the drummer with the Police, the Tama Stewart Copeland Signature Snare Drum is based on a snare of 'mysterious provenance' that Copeland used for many years. The brass shell is thicker than standard and the snare combines a die-cast batter hoop with a triple-flanged bottom hoop, for sounds that easily penetrate the noise from both bass and guitar.

The SC145 features the MUS80A strainer, which locks the lever when you move it to the on position, ensuring that it won't slip even on the loosest tension settings. Totally secure when you want it on, it is also easy to switch off when you want to. It works in conjunction with the MUS80B butt, which allows subtle snappy snare adjustments and also lets you change the snare side head without removing the snare wires.
