Aluminium shells produce a crisp, bright, and somewhat dry sound with a sharp, articulate attack. Known for their clear high-end and focused mid-range, aluminium shells offer a penetrating tone with an open, warm character. Their sound is often described as dry due to the short sustain, which causes the tone to fade quickly and often eliminates the need for additional damping. This quick decay and distinctive "crack" make aluminium shells ideal for drummers seeking a vintage sound.

Hand-selected snare wires

The 24-strand snare wires provide a good balance between snare response and shell tone, offering a crisp, snappy attack with an enhanced "snarey" character. The increased number of strands results in more contact with the bottom head, producing a brighter, more pronounced snare sound. This added contact also contributes to a fuller, more resonant tone that enriches the drum's overall sound. While they emphasise the snare response, 24-strand wires still allow the natural tone of the shell to come through.

Hardware built for a sound and durability

1.5mm triple-flange drum hoops offer a slightly less focused, more open, and resonant sound compared to thicker hoops. Their thinner construction provides greater flexibility, allowing the drumhead to vibrate more freely, which enhances shell resonance and contributes to a fuller tone with a slightly brighter character. This gives the drum a more natural, expressive sound, making thinner hoops ideal for drummers seeking increased resonance and tonal complexity.
