The entire shell pack is crafted from European Maple, a tonewood known for balancing warmth with clarity. You’ll get rich low-end from the kick and floor toms, cutting mids from the snare, and a clear, punchy attack from the mounted toms. This makes the kit flexible enough for rock, pop, funk, and more.
Each mounted tom features DW’s Suspension Tom Mount (STM) system. This clever design avoids drilling directly into the shell, allowing the drum to resonate more freely. That added sustain gives your toms a more open and natural tone, ideal for live and studio use alike.
The 10-ply snare drum comes fitted with DW’s MAG throw-off, which lets you switch the snare wires on and off quickly and silently. Chrome-plated snare wires with carbon steel coils ensure a crisp, articulate response every time you play.
Graduated counter hoops and True-Pitch tuning rods offer improved tension control, so each drum can be tuned precisely. Add to that low-mass die-cast claw hooks on the bass drum and Dual-Turret lugs throughout the kit, and you’ve got a rugged yet refined shell pack that’s ready for the road.
