The Ludwig 14'' x 6.5'' LA405K Acrophonic Snare Drum is a beautiful, limited edition snare drum from Ludwig, featuring a high-quality hammered aluminium shell that gives a universally useful tone. The Acrophonic is an incredibly sought after snare, grabbing all the attention with good reason. The Acrophonic is best described as a combination of Ludwig's Supraphonic snare series and the Acrolite snare series. The hammered aluminium shell provides a bright, resonant tone with a great balance of frequencies.

Similar to steel but with fewer overtones and much more body, the sound is incredibly universal and ideally suited to any style or genre thanks to the wide frequency range. The snare features Ludwig's classic Imperial lugs and 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops, keeping your snare in tune easily in the form of a classic design.
