Digital Drums 500 Electronic Drum Kit by Gear4music
A modern and musical module
The highlight of the 500 Electronic Drum Kit is its state-of-the-art, DD500 drum module. This all-new module brings greater connectivity and controllability to the Digital Drums range than ever before.
Despite its comprehensive feature set, the DD500BL’s streamlined layout is designed to put you in the driving seat, with even its most advanced options only a couple of button presses away. With a setup as intuitive as this, you can simply switch on and dive right in, as soon as inspiration strikes.
Customise your creativity
Creativity is at the core of the DD500BL Kit. Every detail of each of the 329 individual drum sounds can be precisely tailored to your desired sound. Fancy a deeper snare tone? Lower its pitch. Looking for a more up-front kick drum sound? Adjust its compression and EQ settings in an instant.
Combined with the broad and extensive collection of onboard DSP effects, whether you want outlandish industrial tones or that organic, roomy, Nashville sound, the drum tone of your dreams is ready at the touch of a button.
From rehearsal to stage to studio
The 500's extensive connectivity makes it an ideal e-kit in any drumming situation. The integrated, stereo 1/8" AUX IN and 1/4" PHONE jacks allow near-silent rehearsal, while the headphones jack can also be used to connect to a PA or recording device for easy live and studio performance in full stereo. Alternatively, connect the L/MONO output to an amp or monitor, such as the Gear4Music sideKIK, for simple, instant amplification.
Powerful MIDI control
For programmed drum parts with that inimitable human touch, the 500 series' module supports MIDI control of your chosen DAW via USB. This bypasses the module's internal sound library, allowing the 500's pads to trigger any third-party sampling software, and opening up an entire world of extra drum sound options.
Cutting edge playing surfaces
The Digital Drums 500BL's pads provide the highly realistic and intuitive feel that drummers want from an electric kit. The snare and each of the three tom-tom pads have a separate sensor in the rim, allowing you to switch to rim-clicks, or, if you wish, assign an entirely different sample to this sensor for easy access to cowbells, tambourines and more.
With two choke-able cymbal pads, in addition to the hi-hat pad, you've got enough scope for a crash and a ride cymbal too, completing a physical playing experience that feels just like playing an acoustic set of drums.
Level-up your practise sessions
For those rehearsing on their own, the Digital Drums 500 Module contains a wealth of features to make those practise sessions both engaging and convenient. The easy-access metronome is ideal for solidifying your grooves and fills, while the unit ships with ten play-along songs loaded and ready to put your skills to the test. Or use the stereo AUX-IN jack to jam with your own tracks.

Immersive Sound Technology
The sideKIK is really clever. It features Gear4music’s ‘Immersive Sound Technology’ (or IST) to give you the perfect sound for a large variety of applications. The inclusion and positioning of the 6" woofer ensures that you won't just hear bass, you'll feel it! This is excellent for providing you with an extended bass response to accurately reproduce low-frequency content, such as bass guitars or lower octaves of a digital piano. It faces directly forwards so the low frequency pulses around you help to generate an immersive sound. You'll certainly feel the benefit when practicing with an electronic drum kit. The sideKIK will make kick drums feel and sound just like the real thing!
What's more, the two 3.5" high-frequency tweeters have been carefully angled so it directs straight towards your upper body, making it the perfect floor monitor. The speakers innovative design doesn’t end here. The tweeters are offset away from each other to ensure maximum dispersion of the mid and high frequency spectrum. In short, you’re still going to get that same great sound, whether you’re directly in front of the speaker or whether you’re at the other side of the room. No compromise necessary.
The inclusion of EQ dials allow you to globally tweak the sound of the sideKIK's first and second inputs to adjust their tonality. The low-frequency band provides a gradual bump at 150Hz for body and presence (perfect for a bit more kick drum or bass guitar), whilst the high-frequency band at 7.5kHz offers an ultra-smooth sheen for "record-ready" results.
The wide range of connectivity options on the rear of the SideKIK makes it an invaluable asset. Two on-board combi-jack inputs allow you to directly connect either dynamic microphones or line-level sources such as electro-acoustic guitars, as well as electronic drum kits and keyboards.
Should you desire to connect your laptop, phone or tablet, channel 3 boasts a 3.5mm TRS minijack input which can be used for monitoring purposes. For stress-free, streamlined set-ups take advantage of Bluetooth connectivity, this transforms the monitor into a fully functional speaker to sit back and enjoy your favourite songs on. It can even be used to perform alongside backing tracks!
All connection ports are positioned on the back panel so you don’t have to fight with a cable just to tweak the volume! The large, stylish dials on the sideKIK are really accessible, meaning you won’t have to reach far if you need to tweak anything mid performance.
Stylish, compact design
Coming in at just under 450mm, the sideKIK is ultra-compact. This is perfect for integrating into your practice set-up; either set it underneath a keyboard stand or slot in around your digital drum frame. Or keep it out on display with its stylish and modern, all-black design, adding a touch of class to any environment.
It’s not just designed to look great either. The heavy duty, hardened plastic chassis combined with a toughened wrap around steel grille, means the speaker will take punishment from knocks or scrapes.
