The Goetz and Leicht GL-B Carbon Violin Bow is a precision bow that is manufactured in Germany. The modern carbon fibre bow stick is much stronger and resilient than a traditional wooden bow. Carbon fibre bows don't expand or warp with variations in temperature or humidity and are much less likely to snap. Because of this, Goetz and Leicht carbon fibre bows are widely used for orchestral tours, outside performances or even for extended col legno passages. The frog boasts an ebony body with a modern design and features a Christian Leicht signature opening. High-end features such as the German silver mount and tip help to accentuate performances while also giving the bow a luxurious feel. Final touches such as silver wire winding, handmade bow leather, master grade bow hair and mother of pearl eye and slide complete this professional level bow.
Once Goetz and Leicht realised there was a lack of high-tech professional bows on the market, they decided to start making their own. They combined 300-year-old traditional bow making techniques with 21st-century carbon fibre technology to create these truly unique products. As a result of this combination of engineering and traditional bow making and over three years of development, Goetz and Leicht finally created their range of premium carbon fibre bows.
