The Yamaha P145 features the newly developed Graded Hammer Compact (GHC) keyboard. It's designed to feel as close as possible to playing an acoustic, with weight and responsiveness that helps you develop your touch and dynamics. This makes it a great option if you're just starting out or returning to the piano after a break. The keys feel consistent from top to bottom, and despite its smaller footprint, it delivers a truly expressive playing experience.

You'll also hear the rich tone of Yamaha's CFIIIs concert grand, complete with damper resonance when using the sustain pedal. This means you'll get a more authentic sound, especially when playing with pedal technique.

Easy to carry, store, and set up

We know that space matters, whether you're at home, heading to lessons, or setting up for a gig. The P145 keeps things simple with a slim, lightweight design that's easy to move and store. It fits neatly into small rooms and can be picked up and carried with the soft case (sold separately), making it great for musicians on the move.

Despite its size, the sound doesn't fall short. The speaker placement has been fine-tuned to deliver a clear, balanced tone with plenty of detail in the mids and highs, along with a solid low-end presence. And if you need a bit more punch, just switch on the Sound Boost function.

Connect, record, and learn your way

With USB-to-Host MIDI and audio, the P145 is ready to plug into your favourite music apps or recording software. It also works with Yamaha's Smart Pianist app, giving you control over voices, settings, and access to 303 built-in lesson songs - all from your phone or tablet. You can even record your performance and share it using the Rec'n'Share app
