The Ibanez SR2600 features a striking poplar burl top with a lightweight mahogany body, adding to its striking appearance. The poplar burl top delivers a sonically pleasing rounded bottom-end and a brighter top-end, whilst the mahogany body produces a warm, fat low-end. In addition, its poplar burl top combined with its cerulean blue burst finish offers players a truly unique appearance that is certain to stand out from the rest.
The Ibanez SR2600 features an atlas-4 15-piece neck with titanium rods, made up of panga panga, maple, paduak, purpleheart, and walnut for a unique and sonically pleasing tonal character as well as stability. Its titanium reinforcement rods are lightweight and strong with a nature that forever enables the neck to keep its original shape. The titanium rods also add more resonance and sustain to the guitar's overall tone, as well as adding richer highs, mids and lows. The combination of tonewoods that make up the 15-piece neck provide a broader dynamic range and enhances the overall sound of the guitar. Furthermore, the SR2600 features a panga panga fingerboard , which is a more sustainable tonewood than the commonly used rosewood. Panga panga is very similar to wenge and rosewood in both looks and tone. This substitute tonewood adds warmth and resonance to the overall tone, and provides a smooth platform for the left hand. Its fingerboard is graced with stunning abalone oval inlays for added elegance, adding to its uniquely stunning appearance, the SR2600 is certain to look sublime on stage.
A set of single-coil "Big Single" pickups deliver a full-bodied, aggressive tone, whilst retaining its clarity for the ultimate single-coil tone.
