You get full control over your signal path. All 10 blocks, including distortion, EQ, modulation, delay and reverb, can be rearranged, stacked, or bypassed. New firmware lets you double up on certain effects, like running two delays or two overdrives. It is an easy way to experiment without limits, whether using the onboard controls or QuickTone editing software.
The MG-400 supports third-party impulse responses and includes 25 cab IRs with guitar, bass and acoustic profiles. Each patch offers 12 user slots, letting you shape tones for specific styles or gigs. Whether you are simulating mic’d cabs or mimicking acoustic sounds with an electric, you have flexibility built in.
With its integrated USB interface, the MG-400 works as a direct input for your DAW or livestream setup. It supports reamping, dry track capture, and stereo or mono looping synced to its rhythm tracks. You can also assign scenes to footswitches to toggle complex effect combinations, complete with reverb and delay trails intact. Ideal for home practice or live shows.
