The Nord Stage 4 Digital Stage Piano is the next step from the Nord Stage 3. But what’s new?

With a new panel design, the Nord Stage 4 has dedicated LED faders for each layer. This gives you a massive amount of flexibility and overview when creating sounds and playing live. And who doesn’t want that?

There’s also a brand new preset library, packed full of brilliant piano, synth, and organ sounds that are all ready to use. This means that patch creation is both quick and smooth – perfect when you need an awesome sound in a matter of seconds.

With the Layer Scene, you can switch seamlessly between two different sound setups with a single button press. This is great if you need to quickly change up your sound in the middle of a track, without ever having to get fiddly with it.

Better still, there’s a new Effects Section, versatile pedal options, and a premium triple-sensor keybed. All of this makes the Nord Stage 4 a brilliant option for keyboardists who need an instrument that packs a punch in all areas.

Like previous Nord Stage series, the Stage 4 has four main sections to explore:

1. The Piano
2. The Synth
3. The Organ
4. The Effects

Let’s take a deep dive into all of them.

The Piano Section

With a new and enhanced collection of grands, uprights, and electronic pianos, the Nord Stage 4 is great for any pianist.

These all come from the exclusive Nord Piano Library and use brand-new features like Dynamic compression and Unison. There’s also a range of Creative Timbre presets – so you can really customise the way your piano sound… sounds.

The Synth Section

With three independent layers, the Nord Stage 4’s Synth Section is based on Nord’s Wave 2 Synth Engine.

This includes Virtual Analog synthesis, FM, and Digital Waves – a powerful companion for sound design.

It also comes with a load of new samples from the Nord Sample Library – everything from strings to bass, from choirs to guitars.

So, you’ll have a sonic palette ready for any performance situation.

Plus, the advanced Arpeggiator has new Polyphonic, Gate, and Pattern modes, as well as a huge variety of rhythmic applications, where you can dive in and customise the patterns.

And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also an extern mode for even more advanced MIDI control.

The Organ Section

You don’t need to live in a church to get a great organ sound. Just get the Nord Stage 4.

Award-winning simulations comprise the Organ Section of the B3 tonewheel, B3 bass, classic Vax, Farfisa, and even two pipe organ models. There are also physical drawbars so you can get a more authentic organ experience, with LED indicators helping you visualise this.

And get the sound of classic organs too, in both normal and close mic positions, with the Model 122 Vintage Rotary Speaker.

The Effects Section

To make all the above sound super sweet, the Nord Stage 4 has an extensive and powerful Effects Section.

This offers a complete setup of effects for each layer. It includes a new pump effect that generates both tempo-synced and pedal-controlled side chain modulation, a new spin effect, as well as brand new variations on reverb, delay, amps, and even modulation effects.

So you have more control than ever to shape your sound how you want it to be.

A powerful new range of keyboards

The Nord Stage 4 is a brilliant new set of keyboards, perfect for the performer looking to upgrade to the next level.

The Nord Stage 4 88 is fully weighted, with 88 triple-sensor keys from A to C, while the Nord Stage 4 73 is fully weighted with 73 triple-sensor keys from E to E. If you want something a little smaller, you can go for the Nord Stage 4 Compact, which has 73 semi-weighted waterfall triple-sensor keys.
