The DV mouthpieces use the Phi Proportions to create a perfect design that can deliver high-quality sound. The Phi Proportion is an equation that is used to find and create perfect harmony between things and is seen a lot in nature and art. JodyJazz has applied this equation in the design of the DV series in order to create a big rich sound from the mouthpiece as well as giving it a chamber that will increase harmonics.

Extraordinary Craftsmanship

Using highly sophisticated controlled lathes and mills and finished by hand, this is a uniquely crafted mouthpiece, that looks and sounds good. With a newly designed facing technology and curve that provides perfection every time and removes the possibility of dead spots in the reed's vibration, the DV also features a second window to allow for the sound wave in the mouthpiece to hit the reed above the bore of the mouthpiece.

JodyJazz’s DV Mouthpieces feature a whole range of tones that offer the ability to play freely. The mouthpieces deliver a warm sound that projects well and feels big enough to fill up the room and provide fat notes. With spot-on intonations, an incredible altissimo response, clear articulations and plenty of harmonics, the DV series provides ease for sub toning and applying low notes, as well as providing a good response for notes in all ranges, making the mouthpiece excellent for singing and soaring above bands.

Created using state of the art technology and finished by hand to achieve the perfect radius facing curve and reed/tip match, the DV mouthpieces are coated in a 24kt gold plating to create a stunning addition to your instrument.

About JodyJazz

JodyJazz was founded by Jody Espina and has gone on to be one of the leading designers and producers of mouthpieces for saxophones and clarinets. With the use of 3D modelling and crafted using CNC multi-axis machines, the mouthpieces are finished by hand and play tested by Jody Espina himself. The company's other professional players test the mouthpieces to ensure that each mouthpiece has a perfect seal with the reed and has a proper response throughout the range of saxophones.
