The Mackie EM-98MS is a camera & smartphone shotgun microphone designed for great sound capture on the go. Thanks to a high-directivity super-cardioid design, the EM-98MS only picks up what matters, and keeps off-camera sound to a minimum. And you can tailor the sound to your needs using features that include variable gain level and high-pass filters.
Designed to be super-portable, the EM-98MS has a compact, yet high-quality, build. Connect it via included cables to either your smartphone or DSLR, and monitor straight with an onboard headphone jack. Plus, no external power is needed thanks to its internal Lithium-ion battery. The EM-98MS is a shotgun microphone. This means it is incredibly focused - ideal for capturing video, dialogue, and specific sound capture.
The focused sound is thanks to the long microphone shape, rejecting sound from the sides. This means the microphone is especially good for outdoor video shoots - where ambient noise is mostly a problem.
As well as this, the onboard high pass filters eliminate rumble and included windscreens that make sure the sound capture is both clear and transparent. The EM-98MS is made for great sound on-the-go.
