The Line 6 Powercab 112 Plus is an active speaker system that delivers an authentic “amp-in-the-room” performance and can be used with a variety of different modelers, profilers and amp-sim pedals. For the Plus model, the engineers at Line 6 have added a range of outputs to deliver the ultimate playing experience, featuring MIDI, AES/EBU digital I/O, L6 Link and USB capabilities for complete control over the amp’s functions and the ultimate tone shaping experience. 128 user presets have also been added, allowing you to save and load custom settings for a truly versatile performance.
Just like the original Powercab, the Plus is equipped with a single 12” custom hybrid coaxial driver, flat mode, 6 classic speaker modes, and mic emulated XLR output. Along with its glorious tonal capabilities, the lightweight plywood construction, unique curved back and flip out kickstand also make this amplifier a perfect fit for regularly performing musicians. Using all-new technologies developed by Line 6, players can now essentially load a different speaker type into the 1x12” speaker cabinet with the push of a button. The addition of a flat mode provides the Powercab 112 with a neutral frequency response that allows plenty of headroom, making it ideal for connecting modelers and producing your own unique sound.
To ensure the Line 6 Active Speaker System can deliver its extensive range of tonal possibilities, Line 6 have added a custom-made speaker setup, ensuring players receive a truly versatile performance. Its single 12” custom hybrid coaxial speaker is accompanied by a lightweight cone and high-temperature 2” voice coil, ensuring the amp delivers the punch and dynamic response of a vintage guitar amplifier with the extended range of a PA speaker – adding unparalleled harmonics and response to any performance.
Built for players on the road, the Line 6 Powercab Plus is designed with a whole host of road-worthy appointments to satisfy the needs of touring musicians. Its lightweight and sturdy plywood construction features unique curved backs, enhancing its rigidity, while ensuring it survives life on the road. Compact as well as lightweight, this cab is also easy to carry from gig to gig, while its huge 250 watts of output still deliver more than enough headroom to suit small clubs and medium to large sized venues. The addition of a flip out kickstand allows players to angle the speaker towards themselves, altering is projection and enabling it to be used in a backline or as a frontline monitor.
To provide the ultimate playing experience, the line 6 Powercab 112 Plus is equipped with a variety of inputs and outputs to ensure it can be incorporated into a wide range of rigs and setups. Its XLR output features mic emulators for feeding front of house, while its 16-bit-low-latency stereo USB audio interface supports both 44.1kHz and 48kHz sample rates, allowing players to connect the amp to all major DAW software along with iPad and iPod devices. Also equipped with MIDI support, as well as control change messages, the Line 6 Active Speaker System provides you with complete control over its global functions and settings, while also offering extensive preset editing capabilities, reducing latency and noise levels for the ultimate performance. A L6 link is also added, allowing players to connect their Line 6 Helix guitar processor.
