Korg Volca Bass Analog Bass Machine

Powerful Analog Bass Machine

The Volca Bass combines vintage style and sound with modern day innovations. The unit features an on-board 16-step sequencer, borrowed from Korg's Electribe, as well as a wide variety of analog bass sounds. The compact design makes it one of the most portable bass machines on the market, allowing you to create basslines on the move. The analog circuitry ensures you capture the warmth and grit associated with the circuits normally found in vintage synthesizers. The ergonomic design and wide variety of connectivity makes it highly versatile, whilst still remaining easy to use.

Wide Range Of Basslines

Volca Bass is an analog bassline groove box that gives you a wide range of basslines from aggressive sounds that stand up to drums, fat sounds that support the rhythm, to funky groove-generating sounds. Its simple structure has an unmistakable presence that cannot be found with digital synths. Ideal for those new to synths, Volca Bass' step-sequencer is distilled from the Electribe, and is not only intuitive to use, but inspirngly powerful too. Three oscillators generate a variety of thick and unmodulated bass sounds with incredible diversity. Create a sequence that uses each oscillator individually, and you can create a complex pattern in which three different phrases are woven together, for bass sounds with awesome presence.

Electribe Step-Sequencer

With a step-sequencer distilled from the Electribe, editing is made easy, and you can improvise by adding or removing parts. Use the 16 step keys to intuitively enter notes, and enter completely different phrases for each of the three oscillators. Play the touch panel keyboard to record in real-time and store up to 8 sequence patterns in Volca Bass' internal memory. Slide function creates the impression of connected steps, and effects similar to a short loop can be created with the Active Step function, which skips steps during sequence playback, allowing for a dynamic performance.

Portable Design, Versatile Connectivity

The compact design of the Volca Bass, makes it one of the most portable bass machines available on the market. It features integrated speakers and a headphone port, allowing you to create patterns and sequences on the move. It also allows you to test out ideas without having to be hooked up to external speakers. The vintage-style Sync jack allows you to unify multiple Volca units together for synchronised playback. The MIDI IN connector allows you to expand your functionality, by hooking the Volca Bass up to your selected DAW. The unit can be powered by AA batteries or via mains plug, allowing you to setup and play anywhere you go.

MIDI Pro Cable, 1m

This premium-grade MIDI cable is ideal for expanding the functionality of your Volca Bass. The MIDI cable allows it to communicate with external equipment such as DAWs, other synths, effects processors and more. It measures at 1 metre in length, ideal for desktop setups. The high-quality connectors ensure optimal audio fidelity and performance.
