The Vintage VCB features a solid spruce top, producing a versatile sound that yields crisp and articulate tones, as well as producing a broad dynamic range. In addition, its solid top also delivers a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm mid-range, and bright singing highs. Spruce's versatile nature enables it to handle many different genres and playing styles with ease, as well as accommodating a player's individual style. Its solid spruce top is attached to rich-sounding mahogany back and sides, producing resonance and a full, deep, distinct-warmth. The VCB's mahogany panels also deliver a meaty mid-range, producing punchy, woody tones with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles.
Equipped with a Fishman pickup and preamp system, the Vintage VCB is ideal for stage, studio and rehearsal use, perfect for the performing and recording musician. Additionally, a quality Fishman Sonicore pickup is fitted to faithfully pick up the VCB's stunning natural depth and sonic-characteristics beautifully. Furthermore, the signal is fed through to the preamp system which features rotary controls that enable the player to tweak their amplified sound to personal preference. The controls on offer include volume, bass, middle, treble, notch, and brilliance. In addition, a phase button is included that reducing undesirable feedback when plugged in. If that's not enough the Fishman Presys+ also features a built-in tuner that has a bright, easy-to-read LED screen, perfect for tuning up or down even within the darkest of venues.
Constructed from Eastern mahogany, the VCB's neck absorbs more string vibration, compressing the attack slightly whilst its natural open pores offer an incredible response. Eastern mahogany's nature allows it to respond greatly to numerous techniques with equal ease. Furthermore, the neck is topped with a lignum rosa fingerboard that adds warmth and clarity to the overall tone whilst providing a smooth, energetic playing experience.
