The Luna Look

The Luna Vista Wolf is bright and vibrant, featuring a unique moon-lit landscape design. The Vista Wolf has a wolf in its natural habitat howling up the sparkly moon, inlaid in mother of pearl, which provides a very pleasing aesthetic.

Stunning Mixture of Body Tonewoods

The Vista Wolf uses a sonically pleasing combination of tonewoods to make up its landscape scene including, jatoba, zebrawood, padauk, bird's eye maple, koa, and flamed maple. Jatoba delivers a warm, bright, sparkly tone that really shines through when using finger-picking techniques. Zebrawood produces mid-range focus, and dark over-tones, while padauk produces clear overtone content with a low to mid-end predominance, and has very similar tonal properties to jatoba, projecting bright note articulation. The bird's eye maple, and flame maple offers excellent projection and a bright attack. The Vista Wolf's back and sides are made up of cocobolo which delivers an overall bright tone, emphasised by sparkling treble notes, and focused mid section, providing enhanced tone and projection.

Mahogany Neck

The mahogany neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard that delivers a bright attack, sparkly highs that really shine through when using finger picking techniques. The neck is specially designed by Luna to provide a comfortable playing experience, ensuring that challenging notes and chords are within easy reach. The reason why many guitar necks are made from mahogany is because the wood responds greatly to picking styles, strumming, and various finger techniques with equal ease.

Grand Concert Cutaway

The grand concert shape has a solid mid-range register due to its smaller body and tapered waste, it has been described as the ultimate body cut for stage-use and studio sessions. The tapered waste keeps overtones in check and contributes to the focused, articulate sound it projects. The grand concert body is significantly smaller than the grand auditorium shape, providing a big sound, in a comfortable design, it features a short scale and lighter string tension, making it easier to play. Finger-picking styled guitarists will fall in love with the clarity and precision of this exceptionally designed guitar body.

Fishman Presys +

The Fishman Presys+ is designed to offer maximum control and performance, in a small, compact setup. The sophisticated Presys+ system features; volume, bass, mids, treble controls, and built-in tuner, you can now setup your Vista Bear to personal preference for live performances. The on-board tuner features a bright easy-read LED screen, making it easy to tune your guitar in the darkest of event-rooms or rehearsal spaces. Extras include a low battery indicator and unique pivot design for easy access to the battery compartment.

Luna History

Yvonne Villiers is an accomplished stained-glass artist who envisioned Luna guitars. Her inspiration for a line of guitars designed to maximise playing comfort came from her mother, Hilda Villiers, a bassist for over 40 years. Whilst watching her mum on stage, Yvonne couldn't help but notice the massive struggle her mum had whilst playing. With her mum being petite and using such a heavy instrument, she used to complain of how hard it was to be a woman and try to play these big bass guitars. Yvonne then questioned if there were others like her mum that struggled with the same problems and pains. She came up with the idea of a woman specific guitar, uniquely tailored to fit their bodies, their hands, and their musical styles.

Yvonne moved on to created Luna guitars, a line of guitars made for female musicians of all ages and crafted with luminous visual beauty to engage women's minds and spirits along with their talent. Yvonne already had brilliant artistic skills and use of colour, she then applied the same techniques as she did with her award winning stained glass work to her new line of guitars. She is known for using rich colours that shimmer and shine with every movement providing an eye-catching design along with the great musical tones Luna guitars deliver. Yvonne's design expertise has led so many men to respond to Luna's well-crafted, spirit-engaging instruments that the company now creates guitars for both female and male musicians of all ages.
