The La Patrie Arena Classical Guitar features a stunning pressure tested spruce top, delivering beautifully warm tones with enhanced characteristics. The manufacturing process of pressure testing each solid top ensures they have the highest levels of stiffness and rigidity, along with maximum harmonic vibration. This process is becoming more and more popular with guitar manufacturing as it benefits the overall tone, projection, and resonance of a guitar. It is this combination of quality, rigidity, and flexibility that gives the top its incredible resonance and stunning appearance.
Its flame maple body injects the overall tone with an incredibly bright characteristics, creating stunning dynamic and plenty of depth to suit a wide variety of playing styles. Not only does the flame maple produce striking sounds, its natural figuring offers a unique aesthetic that looks good in any environment.
Like all guitars from La Patrie, the Arena series features a stunning custom polished finish inspired by the appearance of French polish of the 19th Century. Rather than applying a thick coat of polish like standard classical guitars, the La Patrie's custom finish is thinner to allow the wood to breathe and vibrate freely, while also offering plenty of protection from the elements. This type of finish also delivers a better sound the older it gets, making it a worthwhile investment.
The cutaway is a popular feature on many guitars, consisting of an indentation in the upper bout of the body. Its function is to simply allow easier access to the higher frets, providing you with more freedom around the fingerboard.
The Arena CW Guitar is also equipped with an innovative double-function truss rod system within its mahogany neck. Truss rods are never normally featured on classical guitars, having always been made with thick neck dimensions, yet its function on the Arena Acoustic allows for a slimmer neck profile. This clever truss rod system offers extraordinary comfort, while increasing stability.
The addition of B-Band's Crescent II electronics provides the La Patrie Arena with an incredible performance designed for the studio and stage. This streamlined setup features UST and AST pickups to deliver a variety of different tones, which can be shaped to suit different settings by the convenient preamp located within the soundhole. Its XOM circuit ensures players receive the best reproduction of the acoustic's sound in any environment, while its blend control, input gain controls, and phase switch allows for further tone tweaking.
A beautiful guitar wouldn't be complete without the final touches. The La Patrie Arena is nicely finished off with an intricate rosette, cream binding, and rosewood bridge, as well as a cream Tusq nut and a fully compensated saddle by Graphtech.
