Solid Spruce & Select Mahogany Construction

The Hummingbird Pro features a solid spruce top that yields crisp articulation and delivers a broad dynamic range. Its solid spruce construction generates a versatile tone, along with a resonant, focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm mid-range and bright singing highs. Paired with select mahogany back and sides, the combination of tonewoods deliver a classic, sonically pleasing acoustic sound. Used as back and side panels the mahogany delivers a meaty mid-range, producing punchy, woody tones with plenty of depth and complexity that will please most playing styles.

Mahogany Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

Constructed from mahogany, the Hummingbird Pro's neck delivers resonance and warmth. Its mahogany neck also responds greatly to numerous techniques and styles of play with equal ease. The neck has a slim taper D profile which ensures a smooth and comfortable playing experience, as well as being ideal for the electric guitarist that craves an acoustic sound with the feel of an electric. In addition, the neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that adds a sonic warmth combined with a bright sparkle to the overall tone. For added beauty, the fingerboard features stunning pearloid inlays that complement the overall appearance.

Dreadnought Body

The Epiphone Hummingbird Pro features a dreadnought body shape, which provides an enormous voice, and maintains overall tonal balance. The combination of tonewoods and dreadnought body deliver a classic acoustic sound that is particularly well-suited to country and rock genres. The tone produced also accommodates blues-inspired playing techniques including guitar-slide styles. The Hummingbird Pro's big body is ideal for players with a longer reach and those more comfortable with bigger-bodied guitars. With great acoustic projection, the Hummingbird Pro is ideal for guitarists that have a vocal accompaniment, as vocalists can really push their diaphragm to the max and not feel too loud against the guitar's volume within an acoustic setting.

Built-In Shadow ePerformer Preamp

Equipped with a Shadow ePerformer preamp and Shadow NanoFlex pickup, the Epiphone Hummingbird Pro is perfectly suited to live and rehearsal environments. The Shadow NanoFlex pickup replicates the guitar's natural voice, offering a natural yet versatile sound that can be tweaked due to its controls. Its Shadow ePerformer preamp features rotary controls for volume, treble, and bass, as well as a slider switch for dynamics. In addition, the preamp features a button for mute, and one for phase, which helps to reduce undesirable feedback when plugged-in. With this, the Epiphone Hummingbird Pro is perfect for the gigging musician that wants to make an authentic statement combined with a classic, full-bodied sound.
