The EarthQuaker Devices Palisades V2 is an overdrive pedal primarily based on the Ibanez TS808. It takes this legendary pedal and pushes it to the next level and beyond, with a multitude of tone sculpting options. Featuring two separate gain channels and a boost, it gives you a versatile setup. It contains instantly accessible clipping options of no diodes, LED clipping, MOSFET clipping, asymmetrical Silicon clipping, symmetrical Silicon clipping and Schottky Diode clipping, each offering a change in the nature of the distortion. This is an ideal channel-switching setup for live use.
The Palisades V2 includes a vast array of tone sculpting potential. Here is an overview of how the controls affect your sound:
As you can see, the Palisades has an incredible amount of control built in to its two channel plus boost setup. You should be able to create just about any overdrive tone imaginable.
The Palisades V2 features a Flex switch which allows for either traditional latching or momentary operation. This is ideal for stuttering effects or for creating brief moments of overdriven tone.
The Palisades V2 is hand-made in Ohio, USA, and features all-analogue dry-through signal path. It features premium components and is housed in a rugged metal chassis designed to survive a life on your pedalboard. Its top-mounted jack sockets provide easy integration in your setup, allowing for packing your pedals side-by-side and maximising your pedalboard real-estate.
"4.5 / 5 stars: The result is a pedal that lets you dial in a massive range of overdrive tones - not just good impersonations of TS pedals, but much gainier drives verging on distortion and fuzz, as well as transparent boost/overdrive. If you like boost and dirt pedals, you'll find something to suit you here, and the Palisades shines in its switching capability." - Guitarist Magazine
