White Lies want live shows to be bigger than record
White Lies aim for their live shows to sound even better than their records.
The 'Bigger Than Us' indie rockers may not have the technology of a whole studio available to them on tour, but the three piece are hoping on their next tour in support of second album, 'Ritual', they can create a sound which will give fans something even better than the record.
Drummer Jack Lawrence said: "Really, the goal for us is to do a performance that is essentially an improvement on the album. Whenever we go on stage we are aiming to better the album sound and better the feeling that the album has."
Jack - who is joined in the band by singer and guitarist Harry McVeigh and bassist Charles Cave - also said that the band are keen to add a visual aspect to their sound, which will take their live experience to another level for the audience.
He added to the Yorkshire Evening Post newspaper: "I think for this record especially we have really been able to push what we are going do for production and that kind of thing, hopefully it will be quite visual as well. We like to make sure we have an interesting visual show to watch and we like to make sure that it's not exactly the same as the record.
"In the last eight months especially I really feel like we have progressed."
'Ritual' is out now, and the band tour the UK and Europe in February.Posted on 31 Jan 2011 06:30 to category : Music News
