U2 gig to be streamed live on YouTube

U2 fans around the world will be able to see electric guitar player The Edge performing live with rest of the band online this weekend.
The veteran Irish band have just announced that a concert at the Pasadena Rose Bowl in California on Sunday will be streamed in full and free of charge on YouTube.
Chris Maxcy, spokesman for the video sharing website, said YouTube is always looking for new ways to connect fans across the globe with their favourite musicians.
"This is the perfect opportunity to do just that," he stated.
Paul McGuinness, manager of U2, added that the band have wanted to broadcast a gig in this way for sometime.
"It's the perfect opportunity to extend the party beyond the stadium," he commented.
Mr McGuinness said many fans travel long distances to see U2 performing, whereas this offers the band the chance to perform live to them on a global scale.
The band are currently promoting their latest album No Line on the Horizon, but fans can expect to see hear songs from earlier LPs such as The Joshua Tree and October.
