Native Instruments continues to develop its premium Traktor Pro 3 software. New for 2019, Traktor 3.1 offers Parallel Waveforms, standalone mode for the Kontrol S4 MK3, new visual elements, and more.
Traktor Pro 3 is the flagship DJ software from Native Instruments. Used around the world, from the smallest bars to the biggest festivals, Traktor Pro 3 is the DJ software you can rely on.
New for 2019, Native Instruments has updated the Traktor Pro platform to version 3.1 and introduced a raft of new features, improvements, and fixes. As well as a redesigned interface, Traktor Pro 3.1 also offers enhanced functionality for hardware controllers.
This article will outline all the new updates, but first, here's a great video from Native Instruments which details the changes.
Traktor Pro 3.1 has a new streamlined interface that is even easier to work with. Traktor 3.1 maintains the workflow of its predecessors, so current users will find 3.1 familiar yet refreshing. New metering and fader designs ensure you'll be able to mix more accurately, while a redesigned master panel provides instant access to essential controls.
Parallel waveforms allow you to view waves in stacked format for direct comparisons, while Single Deck view lets you expand a single deck to full screen for effortless set preparation.
Traktor Pro 3.1 has been refined for ultimate sound fidelity. Every signal processing stage been enhanced to make you sound great, wherever you perform.
Huge tempo shifts can be confidently made using Elastique 3 time-stretching, while two limiters provide the mastering polish and protection for live performance. The Traktor limiter offers a warm and punchy sound with real character, while the newly-designed master limiter offers a transparent sound that won't duck, even when layering multiple tracks and samples.
Enhanced Hardware Support
The NI S4 MK3 can now be operated as a standalone mixer via its latest Firmware upgrade. NI has also fixed bugs with the Traktor Kontrol S8, S4, and Traktor Kontrol D2, as well as providing custom control mapping for the S8 and D2.
DJ'ing is all about pushing the boundaries. Experimentation is key to this, and Traktor Pro 3.1 makes this easy with one-touch control. The new Mixer FX provides club-grade effects for multiple possibilities, whether you need huge reverbs, choppy bit-crushing, ambient delays, or more. Users can choose from eight new Mixer FX on each channel, plus three filters.
Flux and Reverse
Reversing decks is easy with the new Reverse button. Simply hold down the button to reverse your deck, and because it works with Flux Mode, when you let go it'll resume playing as if you'd done nothing at all. Now you can reverse tracks and instantly resume forward playing in perfect sync.
Flux Mode also works with Hotcues, loops, and scratching. Now you can chop things up over a super-tight beat.
For DVS enthusiasts, Traktor Pro 3.1 includes Scratch capability as standard. NI's timecode vinyl can be used with any sound card and the turntable/CD player of your choice.*
