The New Pioneer DJ DDJ-SX3 Controller - Built for Serato DJ Pro

With the recent release of Serato DJ Pro software, Pioneer DJ has created the perfect partner - the DDJ-SX3 DJ Controller

Pioneer DJ's popular DDJ-SX2 4 Channel DJ Controller for Serato and Flip has been upgraded to the DDJ-SX3 and is now designed for dedicated use with Serato DJ Pro (formerly known as Serato DJ - see our news article here: Serato DJ Updated with New DJ Pro and DJ Lite Editions).

The new Pioneer DDJ-SX3 DJ Controller is specifically designed to make the most of Serato DJ's additional capabilities. The DDJ-SX3 is also designed to assist with live performances - it has additional connectivity enabling you to make smooth transitions between guest speakers, MCs, DJ sets, and different tracks/genres - all without breaking your flow. A dedicated microphone input is included, along with dual USB outputs for multiple laptop control.

Dedicated Mic Input

The dedicated microphone input means you can quickly patch in a microphone for a guest speaker without occupying one of your important mix channels. An additional two microphone inputs allow you to run two dedicated microphones to the stage and adjust their sound with hardware CFX or software FX. A further Mic Control Utility application lets you add microphone compression and reverb.

Dual USB

For DJs sharing equipment and transitioning between users, the DDJ-SX3's twin USB outputs mean you can control two laptops simultaneously - perfect for handing over a set. This function could also be used to run a backup device, just in case the un-thinkable happens to one of your laptops during a performance.

Performance-Friendly Design

Pioneer DDJ-SX3 DJ Controller

The DDJ-SX3 maintains the familiar layout of its predecessor, giving you a full set of multi-coloured performance pads, four mixing channels, and a complete range of controls for Serato DJ Pro. The DDJ-SX3's jog wheels now have reduced latency and the mixer can operate in standalone mode with external analog gear. "Sound Color FX" also allows you to add texture and unique sounds to your mixes with Filter, Echo, Jet and Noise FX.

The DDJ-SX3 still features the much-loved Needle Search pad, allowing you to instantly jump through tracks with your finger. Slip Mode keeps your track playing silently under whilst you are looping, sampling, or playing with the Hot Cues. This allows you to mashup or even loop tracks and, when you are done, the track will come back exactly to where it was playing.

Pitch 'n Time DJ

A voucher for Serato Pitch 'n Time DJ is included with the DDJ-SX3, so you can use Key Shift, Key Sync, Pitch Play and other advanced features to smoothly and harmonically mix tracks. Pitch Play lets you trigger your Hot Cues in a range of different keys and assign them to the controller's Performance Pads so you can play them like a keyboard.

Elsewhere, for DJs who want to make their own versions of tracks, Serato Flip allows you to create and save Hot Cue sequences to make your own custom edits. The DDJ-SX3 provides a dedicated set of Serato Flip controls to play back your Hot Cue sequences easily, allowing you to get creative by skipping or repeating parts of tracks and making your performances even more unique.
