The Denon DJ MCX8000 Now Supports Engine Prime Software
Denon DJ has announced the version 1.2.1 update to Engine Prime, meaning the MCX8000 controller can now use this premium music management software.
Denon DJ has released an important firmware and software update, allowing the MCX8000 DJ controller to support the industry-leading Engine Prime music management software. This gives DJs even more control over their digital music and should make a radical improvement to their working process.
What is Engine Prime?
Engine Prime is a music analysis and management software created by Denon DJ. At its core, Engine Prime is designed to optimize your music library. The software provides a clear graphical user interface for importing music, grouping collecions, creating playlists, editing audio, and more. The clear display integrates track artwork, BPM, and a full track waveform, letting you easily add quantized hot-cues and loop regions. The software supports iTunes and Serato collections, as well as multiple audio formats (both compressed and lossless), letting you syncronize your music across multiple sources.
The Updated MCX8000 DJ Controller v.2.0
The MCX8000 v2.0 DJ controller can now utilize Engine Prime optimized music libraries via its USB drives. Further updates have been made to improve its microphone/recording workflow, Beatgrid/Sync and Quantize functions, and song browsing capabilities.
Engine Prime Software Updates
The Engine Prime software itself has also been improved with an enhanced music library and track imports, plus optimized playlist options. A newly-added MCX8000 Database Export feature gives the MCX8000 a new level of performance capabilities beyond almost any other controller.
This update also affects the Prime Series SC5000 and SC5000M media players, which can now be firmware-updated via a USB drive without the direct use of a computer.
"With Engine Prime's v1.2.1 update, added to the new v2.0 firmware, our award winning MCX8000 controller gets 'Prime' performance, plus workflow and software enhancements, empowering DJs to deliver more creativity, dancefloor impact and energy into their sets…
… Our Engine Prime music management software is now more powerful than ever. To say we're stoked is an understatement!" - Paul Dakeyne: Creative Director for Denon DJ
This set of new updates makes the Denon DJ MCX8000 an inredibly powerful stand-alone DJ device. When paired with Engine Prime software, DJs can now take an entire library of audio with them on the road, ready at a moment's notice to get performing. Engine Prime brings a new level of organisational capabilities to the MPX8000, making it the ultimate one-box device for DJs who want to create a simple yet poweful setup.
