Summer NAMM 2018: Epiphone New Guitar Releases
Epiphone brings its best summer outfits for Summer NAMM with a range of new paint finishes to brighten things up, alongside some exciting new models for 2018.
Summer NAMM is a chance for the music industry to show the world its mid-year offerings. While Winter NAMM is usually reserved for the year's biggest products, Epiphone has announced a flurry of new guitar models for June 2018.
Along with a range of new acoustic guitars featuring different wood constructions, the Les Paul range and the 335 range has been expanded with some lovely summer-inspired colour finishes. So, get your sunglasses and iced-beverage ready, and let's dive in!
Summer NAMM 2018 | Les Paul Ultra III
"The Les Paul of the future." This guitar breaks far away from tradition and features USB/mono/stereo outputs, a built-in tuner and more! Now available in a wide range of colours.
Powered by both Pro-Bucker humbuckers and the Shadow NanoMag pickup system, this guitar can deliver both traditional Les Paul tones and acoustic-style tones. The NanoMag pickup system picks up subtle body acoustics and string harmonics, giving you a realistic acoustic guitar sound that is perfect for live performers who don't want to lug along a second acoustic guitar.
A USB output allows this guitar to connect to Native Instruments GuitarRig 4LE (included) for amp simulations and more!
Summer NAMM 2018 | Les Paul Tribute "Prizm" Plus Outfit
All the colours of the rainbow, and then some! The Les Paul Tribute "Prizm" is a colourful take on this TRIBUTE Plus model. The TRIBUTE features a flame maple veneer (AAA) on a carved Hard Maple top, giving you a plenty of sparkle - both visually and aurally.
A mahogany body gives the classic Les Paul bite and sustain, while the premium set of hardware appointments deliver a great deal of functionality at an exceptional price: featuring USA '57 Classic humbuckers with push/pull series/parallel switching, Mallory tone capacitors, Switchcraft electronics, and Grover locking machine heads.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Les Paul Studio
Check out this new colour for 2018! The Les Paul studio is a fantastic no-frills Les Paul guitar, stripped back to its essentials with no superfluous features. A classic set of alnico open-coil pickups give the bite required for rock and blues, while the satin finish and lightweight body is comfortable to play for long sessions.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Les Paul Standard Plustop PRO
The Plustop PRO takes a standard Epiphone Les Paul and polishes it off with a stunning AAA flame maple top. This guitar also benefits from critically acclaimed ProBucker humbucker pickups for a powerful and nuanced range of tones. Now available in even more colours for 2018!
Summer NAMM 2018 | Les Paul Standard
Ah, the Les Paul Standard - three words that define the music of rock and roll. The "world's greatest electric guitar" includes the iconic Les Paul specification that creates the sound and playing feel that this guitar is known for. Mahogany body, maple veneer top, dual Alnico Classic Humbuckers - a winning combination, built to rock.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Prophecy Les Paul Custom Plus GX
The Epiphone Prophecy Les Paul Custom Plus GX features a quilt maple top and Gibson 490R/498T hubuckers with coil-splitting for a versatile range of tones. New Black Cherry and Midnight Ebony color finishes plus elegant pearloid and abalone block & triangle inlay, and Grover machine heads. Premium hard case included.
Summer NAMM 2018 | G-400 PRO
This classic Epiphone SG is the historic 1960s SG replica powered by Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers with coil-splitting for added versatility. If you're seeking one of the original rock guitars, this guitar will get you in the same ballpark, tonally and visually.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Joe Pass Emperor II Pro
The Joe Pass Emperor II PRO is designed with jazz legend Joe Pass and now available in a lovely Vintage Natural colour finish. ProBucker humbuckers are fitted with coil-splitting for added tonal versatility. Grover tuners and a Graphtech NuBone XL nut guarantee tuning stability, letting you get on with the job of laying down your smooth jazz licks.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Sheraton II Pro
The Sheraton II PRO is an elegant archtop guitar now available in a beautiful new Midnight Sapphire finish for 2018. Pearl and abalone inlays complement the range of gold hardware, while the ProBucker humbuckers with coil-splitting deliver a wide range of sounds to cover almost any genre of music.
Summer NAMM 2018 | ES-339 PRO
The ES-339 PRO is a classic ES-style archtop with a compact body size that makes it ideal for players looking to explore the hollow-body sound but without the additional size usually required by these instruments. Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers with coil-tapping make it a versatile performer, while the Wilkinson vintage machine heads guarantee tuning stability. Now available in a range of new colours for 2018.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Ltd. Ed. Dot Deluxe
If there's one guitar which has epitomised the Gibson/Epiphone hollowbody look, it’s the ES-335 (with trapezoid fingerboard inlays) and the DOT (with dot inlays). The Epiphone Limited-Edition Dot is now available in a summery Aquamarine finish for 2018.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Casino and Casino Coupe
The Casino is Epiphone's most popular archtop guitar and a favourite of The Beatles, Keith Richards, Gary Clark Jr., Radiohead, and more. Featuring P90 pickups, this guitar delivers a versatile and nuanced tone, with some of the sparkle of single-coil pickups alongside the depth of a humbucker-equipped hollowbody. The Casino Coupe is small version of the Casino with an ES-339-style, compact body shape. Each of these guitars is available in a new Turquoise finish for 2018.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Broadway
Welcome to the 1940s with this historic, big-body archtop guitar. Powered by Alnico Classic humbuckers and featuring many Art-Deco design touches, this guitar is now available in Vintage Natural finish.
Summer NAMM 2018 | CE Coupe
Epiphone's CE Coupe is a travel-sized, solid-body classical guitar powered by a Shadow Panoramic pickup acoustic system. This guitar has been updated for 2018 (with a reduced body size) and is the perfect instrument for travelling musicians. The Shadow Panoramic pickup system allows separate panning and EQ settings for the top-three/bottom-three strings. The pickup creates the natural tone a classical guitar, courtesy of its chambered body.
Summer NAMM 2018 | SST Coupe
The Epiphone SST Coupe is a compact steel-string acoustic guitar in a reduced size for travelling and grab-and-go performances. The chambered body delivers a natural acoustic guitar tone while the Shadow Panoramic SH-148-HD pickup system enables independent panning and EQ across the top-three/bottom-three strings.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Les Paul Ukulele Outfit
Is this the coolest Ukulele around? We think so! A tenor ukulele with the historic Les Paul design; this ukulele lets you get plugged in anywhere, courtesy of its under-saddle pickup system. Gig bag included - sunglasses optional.
Summer NAMM 2018 | Hummingbird Ukulele Outfit
Get the look of a Gibson Hummingbird acoustic guitar with this Epiphone tenor ukulele. A solid sitka spruce top creates a resonant and bright tonality, while the under-saddle pickup lets you get plugged in for live performances or recording.
Summer NAMM 2018 | EJ-200SCE
The Epiphone EJ-200SCE is based on the legendary "Jumbo 200". This guitar features a solid spruce top, Shadow eSonic-II stereo pickup system, and the special design flourishes of one of Epiphone's most recognisable acoustic guitars.
Summer NAMM 2018 | AJ-200SCE / AJ-220S
