Squeeze to play instruments customised by Damien Hirst
Artist Damien Hirst has customised a set of instruments that will be played by Squeeze when they perform at the Royal Albert Hall later this month.
The band are to take to the stage at the venue on March 22nd, playing as part of a series of gigs there in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT).
Following the gig, the guitars and drums will be auctioned off for charity at Christie's, with the money being split between the TCT and the Love Strength Hope Foundation.
Simon Davies, chief executive officer of the TCT, said: "We can't wait to see Squeeze play the instruments and hope they raise lots of money to help more young people in the UK fight cancer."
The line-up for the round of Royal Albert Hall gigs is taking shape, with Beady Eye, Biffy Clyro, Tinie Tempah, Roger Daltrey and Editors all booked in for headline slots.
Support acts over the week of concerts will include Jessie J, Miles Kane and Jon Fratelli.
