Roland VR-09-B Released as Part of Brand's 'Future Redefined'

The Roland V-Combo VR-09 Keyboard has been launched today as part of the 'Roland Future Redefined' movement. Much like its counterpart which was also released today, the Roland VR-09B Performance Keyboard is exceptionally light-weight, weighing in at a mere 12lb.  9lb lighter than VR-730, the VR-09 is ideal for situations in which portability is a key requirement, such as gigs and live performances.  Vintage gear is usually heavy and awkward to handle, and because of this, becomes very limiting when it comes to using it in a live performance scenario. Thanks to Roland's technological expertise, the VR-09 features all of the classic sounds and feel of the original within the confines of a much smaller instrument.

A V-Combo model, the VR-09 Performance Keyboard features a number of iconic effects and faithful recreations of historic electric pianos. With a front panel split into three designated parameter sections, the V Combo VR-09-B Live Performance Keyboard caters to the musician looking for quick and easy access to their piano's settings.  An LCD screen gives you immediate access to your instrument's essential sound tweaking parameters, allowing you move and manipulate your settings in real time. If that weren't already practical enough, the VR-09's intuitive set-up allows you to save and then recall your favourite presets at the push of a button.

Similarly to the other V-Combo release the VR-09 Live Performance Keyboard allows you to deliver authentic sounding organ expression through the inclusion of a Virtual Tone Wheel Organ.  The inclusions of Roland's Virtual Tone Wheel Organ engine allows the instrument to accurately recreate the process of a traditional organs sound. Rotary effects define an organs sound. As such, the VR-09 Live Performance Keyboard makes use of three genre-matching rotary types to supplement a number of different playing styles and sounds. With the inclusion of SuperNATURAL Synth Sounds, the VR-09B comes filled to the brim with classic Roland synthesizers such as JUNO strings and JUPITER pads.

Whilst already jam-packed full of exciting piano based sounds, the fun doesn't end there.  Expand your sound collection by downloading free plugins from Roland's Axial Sound Library site. With patches inspired by some of the industry’s leading artists, you are almost guaranteed to find something to suit your taste.

Completely iPad compatible, a dedicated iPad Editor for both Organs and Synths grants you hands-on control to you VR-09B via your tablets touchscreen interface, making on fly customization an easy and pain-free process.
