The Roland TD-1KPX2 is the new updated V drum portable drum kit from Roland. Released today, this compact and foldable electric drum kit can be packed and stored away in a matter of seconds. Able to be deconstructed from its standing position with the cymbals still intact, the TD-1KPX2 drum kit is ideal for traveling musicians who require an easy to store instrument able to be redeployed at the drop of a hat.

In spite of the kit's exceptionally humble footprint, it offers a solid foundation that's sturdy enough for even the most rigorous practice routines. Offering all of the natural response from a traditional drum kit, the TD-1KPX2 accurately recreates the playing experience of your everyday kit. Now thanks to a recent development the kit can now support both single and double kick pedal setups, ideal for metal and hard-rock players looking to add to the dynamic of their sound.

The TD-1KPX2's 8-inch PDX-8 and 6.5-inch PDX-6 mesh-head V pads are home to Roland's cutting edge dual trigger technology. This revolutionary design ensures that the kit's surfaces can differentiate between the spatial distribution of pressure on both the rim and head of the pad. The electric drum kit's playing pads feature separate bow and edge triggering as well as support chokes. This contributes to the overall sense of realism and responsiveness for which Roland's electronic drum kits have become so renowned.

With onboard training functions, the TD-1KPX2 module offers various methods of improving your playing skills, whether you're a beginner or an advanced player. Use coach mode to increase your speed and stamina, utilise the module's onboard metronome to stay in time, or even play along to your favourite songs; the TD-1KPX2 offers the ultimate integrated training experience for any drummer.

Not only does the TD-1KPX2 offer the player an immersive training experience, the kit also provides drummers with the opportunity to capture your playing and record it via the kit's built in USB-MIDI interface.
