Paul McCartney may play residency at O2
Bass guitar legend Paul McCartney may be about to follow in the footsteps of Bon Jovi by playing a residency at the O2 Arena.
The former Beatle is playing a gig at the London venue tomorrow night as part of a brief European tour, which kicked off in Hamburg earlier this month. This is McCartney's only UK gig of the year, which he said is partly because he left it too late to organise a full British tour in 2009.
However, he told Absolute Radio that his festive gig at the O2 could be followed by a residency at the venue next year.
"I quite fancy that," McCartney commented.
"Last time I ever did that was when The Beatles used to do Christmas shows."
McCartney has been treating European audiences to a setlist packed with Beatles, Wings and solo classics, including Let It Be, A Day in the Life, Live and Let Die and Band on the Run.Posted on 21 Dec 2009 16:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
