Modal Argon 8X Synthesizer

Modal’s new Argon 8X expands on last year’s Argon8 with a brand-new 61-key keyboard. Featuring exactly the same sound engine, this new instrument simply offers enhanced performance capabilities for musicians and producers.

Modal has also released the Argon 8M desktop module ahead of NAMM 2020. This brand-new module is aimed at users who have their own keyboard controller, or for those who want a new addition to their studio setup.

Modal Argon

Last year, Modal released the Argon 8, a wavetable synth which borrowed much of its technology from the premium Modal 002 Multitimbral Hybrid Synth. While the 002 was a significant investment purchase at over £3k, the Argon was refreshingly affordable, yet still featured an array of features.

Modal has now released an expanded version of the Argon 8 in the form of the Argon 8X. It features exactly the same sound engine as the original Argon but is packed into a larger chassis with a 61-key keyboard.

Argon 8X

Sharing its sound engine with the original Argon, the Argon 8X is an 8-voice wavetable synth with 120 carefully crafted wavetables covering virtual analog classics through to cutting-edge sounds from EDM and beyond.

Users will also have access to 32 static wavetable modifiers, 32 high-res oscillators, 4 filter types, and 100 sequencer presets for instant arrangement creation.

Modal has also released the Argon 8M Desktop Module with the same functionality, just without the keys.
