NAMM 2020 | Line 6 POD Go Ultra-Portable Guitar Modelling Rig
NAMM 2020 | Line 6 expands the legendary POD family with the POD Go, delivering the same HX modelling as the premium Helix in an ultra-portable format.
Line 6 has just unveiled the POD Go, a compact modelling guitar pedal featuring amp and effects models from the Helix, M-Series, and legacy Line 6 products. Offering “best-in-class tones”, this portable device is a premium addition to the POD family.
Resembling a miniature Helix, or perhaps an enhanced Firehawk, the new Line 6 Pod Go Multi Effects Pedal takes the iconic POD family to the next level. Featuring elements of technology from the premium Helix range, as well as the compact form-factor of the Firehawk, the POD Go is a versatile tool for the studio and on stage.
The POD Go includes hundreds of amp, effect, and cabinet models. Players will have access to the same premium HX modelling tech of the Helix, as well as M-Series effects and legacy Line 6 products, giving plenty of choice for sounds suitable for any genre. The POD Go provides up to 6 simultaneous amp/cab/effects blocks, with the option to load third-party IRs and edit sounds externally with the free POD Go Edit app.
The POD Go also features three of the same touch-capacitive footswitches as the Helix – perfect for hands-on editing. A glorious colour display makes editing sounds a breeze, while the advanced Snapshots function allows players to easily access all the tones they might need for every section of a song.
With the same technology filtered down from a range of premium Line 6 products, the POD Go promises to be an incredibly versatile device for players who want all their sounds available in one pedal.
Other features include an expression pedal, over 300 effects models, Stereo Effects Loop, looper function, headphone-out, built-in USB audio interface, external expression pedal inputs, and a clever amp-out which can route a duplicate signal before the IR section, letting you create a dual amp-out / IR-out setup.
