NAMM 2019 | The Yamaha Sonogenic Keytar Can Be Played By Anyone, No Matter What Their Skill Level
The Sonogenic SHS 500 is a new keytar from Yamaha. With a super easy-to-use design and app connectivity, the SHS 500 is the perfect instrument for "music lovers who want to participate in making music, but haven't yet learned how."
If you're just getting started in making music, one of the biggest hurdles can be developing enough basic technique to play along with your favourite songs. Often, the first few months of learning aren't the most inspiring, but this is where the Yamaha Sonogenic Keytar aims to help. New for NAMM 2019, the Yamaha Sonogenic SHS 500 allows anyone to make music - no matter what their current skill level.
Jam Mode - Anyone Can Make Music
With its clever Jam Mode, the SHS 500 allows musicians to instantly play along with their favourite artists, even if they don't yet know the exact notes to play. Simply connect the instrument with the free Chord Tracker app, then play a song on your smart device and, no matter what key you press, the SHS 500 will automatically line up the notes with the music.
This mode makes the Sonogenic SHS 500 perfect for young musicians, and with its cool keytar design and battery power, you'll have the freedom to dance, jump, and move around as you play.

A Serious Instrument for Developing Players
When you start to develop your skills, you'll find the SHS 500 has the capability to keep up with your playing. 37 expressive mini keys give a premium feel with a fast and responsive action, while the 30 high-quality instrument sounds provide a tone for any genre, including synthesizers, drums, and more.
The SHS 500 also features an assignable real-time control knob for a wide range of effects, as well as a pitch bend and modulation wheel.
With a MIDI socket, Bluetooth, and USB, you can connect the SHS 500 to your computer or smart device for 2-way audio and MIDI. Weighing just 1.5KG and with battery-power capability, the SHS 500 is the perfect go-anywhere instrument.
